Assembly of the Flat Pack Kitset?
It's strongly recommended that a qualified aluminium welder with modest boating knowledge assembles kit sets.
All commercial vessels MUST be assembled by
Certified Aluminium Welders only.
All builders are required to follow relevant marine safety codes and guidelines.
Time to assemble a complete "Hot Work" shell depends on your skills and resources. Rule of thumb is 350 hours per metric ton.
Time to "Fit-out" a vessel ranges from 250 to 600 hours per metric ton depending on commercial or pleasure finish.
Modification or changes to the design?
Please enquire about changes to a specific design.
We provide a design service for modifications to existing Flat Pack Kitsets.
In some instances, a new design will be required rather than modifying a current one,
to ensure quality and safe vessels are built.
Minor "On The Job" modifications can be made during the assembly of the Flat Pack Kitset.
The builder is to notify the designer of all changes made to the vessel during construction, with photos.
